BEING MORE PRODUCTIVE

outsource. batch. protect your creative hours.

The Lesson

Some productivity is natural clock speed. People just operate at different speeds. But you can level up: (1) Read Tim Ferriss's 4 Hour Workweek. Learn to outsource to internet services and virtual assistants. (2) Batch similar tasks. Don't context switch. Do all emails at once, all calls at once. (3) Use assistants for non-creative work. Dilbert comics have assistants doing inking and coloring. (4) Only spend time on high value activities. Ruthlessly cut low value tasks. (5) Match tasks to energy. Creative work when fresh, routine work when tired. (6) Accept that some people are just faster. Compete with yourself, not them.

Real-World Example

A founder overwhelmed with tasks. Wrong approach: try to do everything faster. Right approach: Hire a VA for $5/hour to handle email, scheduling, research. Batch all meetings on Tuesday/Thursday. Protect mornings for product work (high value). Accept that some things just won't get done. That's fine if they're low value.
