LEVELS OF HUMAN AWARENESS

The Lesson
Civilization has moved through levels of awareness. Science/reason level: 'facts don't care about feelings' was dominant until ~2015. Persuasion/perception level: we realized feelings don't care about facts either-two movies on one screen, same facts producing different narratives. Parody-reality crossover: we literally can't tell satire from reality anymore. And now: we can't tell a thing from its direct opposite. Accusers turn out to be the guilty ones. We're entering the Donald Hoffman level where reality is entirely subjective-not just a little bit, all of it. That explains everything but throws nothing out.
Real-World Example
A founder watches tech news. Same company announcement: one outlet says visionary pivot, another says desperate flailing. Same facts, different movies. Then parody accounts post things indistinguishable from real announcements. Then the company accusing competitors of unethical AI gets caught doing the same thing. The founder realizes: at this level of awareness, you can't trust pattern-matching. You have to build your own reality filters.
